Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

CedarCreek Estate Winery’s 2019 Pinot Noir is fragrant and enticing on the nose with fresh violets, pink rose petals and baked cherry pie. Deep ruby in the glass, dry, medium-plus-bodied with ripe black cherry, blackberry, fresh mushroom, savoury herb and medium-plus-acidity to balance all that juicy fruit. Finishes long, savoury and satisfying. A solid Pinot Noir that delivers! Poured with a grilled sirloin steak. Tasted May 2021.

The PN grapes for the 2019 vintage were sourced from the Home Block Vineyard and wild fermented in small stainless steel and concrete tanks. The wine aged 12 months in French oak barrels. #30DaysofVQA

Tasted again November 2022: Drinking beautifully now with a mouthful of ripe blueberry, dark cherry, savoury, silky, juicy with vibrant acidity and a long finish. My only regret is that I didn't buy more of this of PN!

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
