Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A good value Pinot Noir from Burgundy, this medium-bodied wine has aromas of black berries like currents, blueberries and cherries. Ripe fruit on to the palate with medium tannins. The dry finish is smoky and tastes of licorice. Decant or age further. Pair with beef or duck. Tasted February 2020.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely and a great value for money. Aromas of red cherry, dried herbs, fresh earth and tobacco smoke. Medium bodied with bright acidity. Fruit on the palate is ripe with a tart note, and the finish is a bit smoky and earthy. Enjoy with turkey or smoked chicken.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This opens with a promising nose with hints of barnyard and smoke over underlying dried cherry. The palate is more earthy than fruity with a bit of heat on the medium finish. Enjoy with light game like rabbit or pheasant. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Cave des Vignerons de Buxy, Buissonnier 2017 Pinot Nor is great value under $20. Well-priced and well done with layers of juicy ripe cherry, red berry, earthy florals, anise and sous bois flavours on the palate. Pair with duck confit. - Community Wine Reviews
