Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Intense nose of strawberry jam, strawberry pie filling, dried red cherries. Definitely on the ripe, jammy, and stewed fruit side. Palate is similar with welcome acidity and good tannins. Pleasing and easy-drinking style that will have broad appeal. From burgers to steaks, serve this with beef, or pork chops with a red berry reduction.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Inky, purple in the glass. Raisins on the nose. Fruity palate, smooth and full bodied. Long finish. Would be great with spicy pizza, lamb burgers. Tasted April 2019.
Produced by Wente, California Castoro Cellars 2015 Zinfandel is made with estate-grown Zinfandel wine grapes. Great vintage from the Paso Robles Wine Region with rich strawberry, red berry and toasty vanilla flavours on the palate. This vintage was awarded Silver at the 2018 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Wine grapes were introduced to the Paso Robles soil in 1797 by the Spanish conquistadors and Franciscan missionaries. - Community Wine Reviews
