From the Ribera Del Duero D.O., Castillejo de Robledo Crianza 2016 is produced from 100% Tempranillo and was aged up to 12 months on its lees. The wine is dry, vibrant and full-bodied with juicy, ripe red fruits, savoury herbs, pepper and anise spice flavours creamy and long on the palate. Excellent value.

Tempranillo Crianza food pairings: red meat, roast leg of lamb, venison flank steak stuffed with herbs, meat stews.

Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aromas of blackberry, cherry, dried herbs, smoke and stony mineral hints. Full bodied with some firm, grippy tannins, bright acidity, and lovely ripe dark fruit notes on the palate. The finish is drying with hints of smoke and spice. Enjoy with any grilled meats.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A classic Tempranillo wine, the Silentium Crianza 2016 from Spain exposes aromas of sugarplum, dried blueberry, black pepper, dried rose, cinnamon and cedar. A full-bodied wine, with succulent tannins and soft acidity. The finish is dry and reveal flavors of tart cherry, dried blackberry, dried leaves, tobacco, spice and cedar. Enjoy.
Young red wine aged on fine lees 12 months and bottled 6 months. Dark cherry color with brick-red hues transparencies, clean and bright. Intense and Good balanced bouquet with red fruits and spice sensations from oak ageing. Flavoursome and full-bodied in the mouth starters with Good persistence. Elegant lasting finish.
