One of the best Barbaresco wines I've tasted. Ethereal and refined, yet packed with nervy, tart cherry, smoke and spice aromas. Needs food for the great acidity, try tomato sauce.

Barbaresco food pairings: rosemary lamb, garlic and wild leek stuffed chicken, chorizo cassoulet.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

From Piedmont, in Northern Italy, this Barbaresco invites you to enjoy its spicy, red fruit, slight florals and hints of almonds aromatics. A well-integrated palate also gives balsamic, anise and tobacco with a satiny mouthfeel and fine tannins, elegant finish. Try this with roast pheasant or venison.
Tasted Oct. 2016
This is a terrific benchmark Barbaresco from Piedmont DOCG. Refined with nervy, tart cherry, smoke and spice and dried herbs. Needs food and a venison steak will do it. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
