Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The 2010 Castello di Neive Barbaresco that was aged in oak for 12 months, has intense aromas of clove, fennel seed, wood on the nose and dried pomegranate, red currant and sweetish anise on the palate. It is a light to medium bodied, extra-dry, integrated wine; is BALANCED with good acidity, grippy tannins (decant for 1+ hours) and has a long and smooth finish. This is a sipping wine; drink now – 2018. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 90-91 pts – recommended for its quality and especially value as it is comparable to other Barolo’s and Barbaresco’s, yet at half the cost. Tasted Nov/13.

Valérie Dufour - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A Barbaresco at 20$ is a rare sight. A good one in that price range is even more rare. Nice ruby robe with aromas of sour cherries and dead leaves. The wine is as good as it gets in terms of evolution. But at that price, you can drink nebbiolo on a week night.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
