A vibrant, clean, richly flavoured Chianti at a very reasonable price for the Tuscan region. Full-bodied with a lovely length and persistent dark berry flavours. A river of pleasure in this full-bodied, generous red. Perfect for so many dishes, from Italian fare to roast beef. Decant for 2 hours. try it with meat lovers pizza.

Chianti Classico Riserva food pairings: pasta in a tomato sauce, roast beef.

Reviews and Ratings

The twelfth century Castello di Gabbiano estate is nestled in the heart of the Chianti Classico region in Tuscany. Lots of tart blackberry, leather and dark spice here. Polished, ripe tannins with layers of black cherry flavour and smoke. Long finish. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
