Reviews and Ratings

Carmen Chelick rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

Dallas thinks: black cherry, plum, tannin forward, maybe a bit spicy, he approves
Carmen thinks: alcohol forward, dry, it's okay
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted March 11th, 2018. Colour ruby red and clear. Legs medium. Aromas and flavours of cherry and blackberry, sweet spices. Taste, dry, very fruity, medium mouthfeel, mouthwatering minus, very light tannin. Finish short but fruity. This was a very easy drinking table wine. With more fruit than tannin. Good value for the price. I drank this wine with a bowl of chilli accompanied with garlic bread and cheese with a slice of fresh tomato.
Castelforte 2014 is produced from 100% Corvina red wine grape also used to produce powerful Amarones. Look for ripe, crushed raspberries, smoke and white pepper flavours on the palate on this well-priced medium-bodied red. Pair with hard cheeses. - Community Wine Reviews
