Terrific lime zest on the nose of this exceptionally well-priced Chilean Sauvignon Blanc! All the fruit was sourced from two different soil types, 99% clay loam and 1% red clay mixed with decomposed granite. Located in the coolest, westernmost reaches of the Casablanca Valley, and cropped for low yields at 2.4 tons per acre. Lots of juicy acidity on the palate for seafood and shellfish.

Sauvignon Blanc food pairings: Thai green curry fish, shellfish, chicken and sage skewers, fresh tomato and basil salad.

Reviews and Ratings

Casas del Bosque's Sauvignon Blanc is the palest of pink gold, with light citrus, mandarin and minerality on the nose and palate. The wine is clean, refreshing and wine grapes have benefited from warm days, cool nights and cool Pacific Ocean breezes allowing the wine grapes to ripen both phenolically and to develop their sugars. Full and ripe fruit flavours are balanced by refreshing acidity -- a very aromatic and flavourful wine. - Community Wine Reviews
