From Vinho Regional Alentejano, Casa Santos Lima, Quid Pro Quo 2021 is a vegan-friendly and velvety red wine blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet. Amazing value at $14, this is a beautifully balanced, dry and full-bodied Alentejo red, generous with ripe dark fruits, plum, savoury herbs rounded and supple on the palate. Very nicely structured. Buy cases of it at this price.

Food pairings: hard cheeses, charcuterie, grilled pork tenderloin.

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From the Vinho Regional Alentejano wine region, Quid Pro Quo (2021) is an easy-to-love, vegan-friendly and generous red wine blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinto Roriz, Syrah and Alicante Bouschet. The wine is dry, full-bodied and plushy with ripe dark fruits, plum, savoury herbs fresh on the palate and framed by rounded and supple tannins. Easy on the pocketbook as well at $14, it’s a definite candidate for the BBQ to pour with ribs, steaks and gourmet burgers. Tasted May 2024. Drink through 2027.
