Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Made in Portugal, the Confidencial Reserva 2016 is blended from Touriga National and Camarate. The wine reveals aromas of sour plum, black raspberry, earl grey tea, granite dust, bread and vanilla. Medium body, fine acidity and light tannins give this wine a fruity finish. Palate: black plum, blackberry, lilac, graphite, spice and vanilla. Enjoy!
L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep purple, medium bodied, medium plus acidity, off dry red wine with aromas of chocolate, mocha, bramble, molasses, fruit cake spice, vanilla and Earl Grey tea. Tannins are medium minus. Flavours of blackberry, spice, black fruit and tea. Paired well with beef stew and dark chocolate with nuts.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
