Reviews and Ratings

Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

This was my weekend wine pick: a fabulous red blend from the wine region of Lisbon in Portugal. With aromas and flavours of dark chocolate and hints of vanilla, it includes 30% Tinta Roriz, 30% Syrah, 30% Touriga Nacional and 10% Alicante Bouschet. Paired well with roasted chicken. 14% alcohol. Available at the SAQ (SAQ code: 13576640) at $13.55.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This Portuguese blend offers up hints of roses and raspberries on the nose. Smooth and fruity this is a substantial wine for the money. Full-bodied with a medium finish. This would pair well with ribs or burgers. Good value. Tasted July 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
From the Lisboa wine region, Casa Santos Lima's Colossal 2016 Reserva is a juicy Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Alicante Bouschet and Tinta Roriz red blend and well-priced below $16. Fragrant with pink florals, ripe red berry, cherry and spicy aromas on the nose. Rich on the palate with ripe red fruits, plums, dark chocolate and oak spice flavour on the palate with a long satisfyingly savoury finish. Pair with game stew. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
