Vintages Wine Panel: Good-value Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of plum, lilac, graphite and cassis. Dry and quite lively on the palate with crisp acidity supporting the fruit. There are also developing tannins here, suggesting 1-3 years of cellar capability. Medium bodied with a fairly lengthy and evolving finish. It may also be enjoyed tonight, decanted. My note: Black as a starless night and just as brooding. Dark berries and plums with smoke weaving through them.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: braised beef, lamb dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 100/100 with the following review:

I am in love with the 2007 Casa Lapostolle Cabernet Sauvignon wine. It is medium to full bodied, fruity and extremely pleasantly fragrant with aromas of cherry, red currant, raspberry, leather and Earth. It is still quite tannic (decant for more than 1 hour) and has a medium finish. The fruit and tannin balance ensures that this wine will evolve gracefully for another 5 years at least. My impression: BEAUTIFUL. I am glad I was able to get my hands on few cases. Tasted Jan/10.
