Lovely sweet cherry aromas and flavours along with chocolate notes from oak aging. Medium0bodied and smooth. The vineyards are located on the benchlands of the Arroyo Seco appellation in the cool climate region of Monterey, which benefit from morning fog. Silky finish. Pair with roast chicken.

Pinot Noir food pairings: grilled lamb sirloin with cocoa rub, barbecued duck sausages, grilled pork tenderloin with cauliflower purée and cherry compote, veal chops.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Garnet red with a nose of bright red berries, earth and slight mocha. The palate gives bright cherry, mocha, earth and slight pepper. Bright acidity with a good mouthfeel, delicious bright red fruit finish.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

This California Pinot is a medium all around. Medium-bodied, medium acidity, medium ruby colour, medium finish. Medium aromas and flavours of raspberry jam, cherry, pepper, garrigue, minerality, sweet spices. $27 a little ambitious but still a nice Pinot. Pair with pizza, turkey or chicken.

This Certified Sustainable Californian red wine hails from the cool climate of Monterey. The 2012 vintage was also cool. - Community Wine Reviews
