Natalie's Score: 92/100

An elegant and smoky, juicy Brunello produced by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini and winemaker Massimo Bracalente. Vibrant with bright cherry, fresh raspberry, mineral and spicy flavours on the palate. Tannins are firm and give it another year to mellow and mature. Pair with meaty stews.

Brunello di Montalcino food pairings: rich tomato sauce and pasta dishes, full-bodied meat dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Caparzo 2014 is a full-bodied Brunello Di Montalcino made from Sangiovese wine grapes from vineyards located in the northern Montalcino Appellation as well as vineyards south of Montalcino. Smoky on the nose with ripe dark berry and bright cherry aromas, savoury with dark fruit, wild herbs, dried tobacco leaf, pink florals, flinty mineral and peppery flavours on the palate. Enjoy with smoked and braised beef dishes. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
