Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A well-balanced Rioja which is reaching its prime at 6 years since harvest. Medium plus tannins, well-rounded, great ripe fruit and an elegant mouthfeel. After 18 months in barrel this reserva has mellowed and is at a great place on its own or eligible for pairing with Mexican or Spanish fare. Aromatics of ripe black fruit, baking spices, vanilla. Similar palate with medium finish and persistence of blackberry and clove. @JonSteeves rated 89/100 - tasted Sept 2016
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Cherry and vanilla with some plum and black tea notes on the palate. Soft tannins round out the finish. Well balanced, overall.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Moderate on the nose with concentrated notes on palate. Key flavours include plum, vanilla, leather and smoke. This Rioja shows tangy acidity, developed tannins, a medium body, and nice spicy finish. I recommend having this wine with braised meats or gamey stews. Tasted Sept 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.com
