Reviews and Ratings

Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Unbelievable value! Made by the gregarious South African wine making legend Bruce Jack. It's peppery and soft and juicy and ready to drink and at this price you should open a bottle immediately. Lovely Shiraz varietal character. Try with a porcini gnocchi with creamy mushroom sauce @wrightwineblog
L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

It is kind wine because it is produced in a manner "that treads lightly on the earth";certified sustainable with carbon neutral shipping and bottle. And this is a very good value South African Syrah; deep ruby coloured, dry, medium bodied with a pronounced aroma of dark chocolate, savoury smoke, and juicy dark plums, black raspberry and cherry. Savoury smoke, dark chocolate and dark fruit taste in the mouth; soft and smooth on the palate. Excellent with any food exhibiting savoury smoky flavour and peppery notes. Paired with white pizza with bacon and mushroom with peppery arugula! This would also be a pleasant sipper.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Pronounced smoke and earthiness greet the nose. Smooth on the palate with lots of ripe fruit. Medium finish. Overall a pleasant fairly straightforward pour and quite a bit of depth for the price. Pair with burgers, pizza or sip on its own. Tasted October 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Campbell Kind Wine 2018 Syrah is fantastic value under $15. From the Western Cape wine region, this an elegant and restrained Syrah with juicy dark cherry, dried fruit, cracked pepper and earthy flavours on the palate and lip-smacking acidity for food. Tannins are firm. Decant for one hour prior to pouring with a vegetarian lasagne or chilli. Enjoy now and for the next four years. - Community Wine Reviews
