Reviews and Ratings

Patty rated this wine as 90/100
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted March 30th, 2018. Colour brilliant red ruby, legs medium plus. Aromas and flavours of, cherry, raspberry, clove, dried mushroom and dried herbs. Taste dry, red fruit, medium plus mouthfeel, soft balanced tannin, mouthwatering and a long finish of fruit and dried mushroom. I can tell you this wine does not match with grilled salmon.
Try it with a nice roast duck, or a rare beef tenderloin. For me this is a special wine. It connects me to the book. The Heart Break Grape. A recommended read. Pricey but worth it. The wine not the book. I usually buy 1 bottle a year for a special occasion and have never been disappointed. Next year I am going to pair it with a duck confit and a rich mushroom soup, with fresh mashed potatoes. Oh and roast heirloom carrots with dried herbs.
