Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

From the splendid region of Rioja in Spain, the Burgo Viejo Crianza 2016, made from 100% Tempranillo, exposes delicious aromas of sour cherry, dried blueberry, dried roses, wet gravel, chocolate and cedar. Medium body, with well integrated tannins and acidity, the wine’s journey ends with a round and fruity finish. Palate: cherry, sugarplum, black pepper, dill, tobacco and cedar. Enjoy!
From the Rioja wine region, Burgo Crianza 2016 is a juicy, mouth-watering red wine with ripe dark plum, black cherry, blackberry, fine herb, dark chocolate and cedar spice flavours on the palate. Full-bodied with well-balanced tannins and acidity. Pair with aged, sharp cheeses or grilled lamb chops. - Community Wine Reviews
