Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A blend of Corvinone, Corvina, Rondinella and Oseleta. Good balanced wine with great acidity and tannins. Its high acidity level makes it very compatible for aging. Medium bodied, black and red currants with strawberries, and a bit of pan fried bacon flavour. Sour cherry on the finish with good length and complexity.
Wineboy rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

I have certain expectations in terms of Amarone. Power of flavours, heavy bodied, and no tannin. This one had three strike - it's out !! While it was a nice wine, it's atypical style might disappoint some readers therefore my score.
Brigaldara (2013) is a Amarone della Valpolicella Classico from the Veneto wine region. Liquid cherries, dark spice and black fruit, smoke and dried herbs -- this Amarone has it all. Tannins are grippy but the wine's elegance shines through. This vintage received 3 out of 3 glasses from Gambero Rosso Italian Wines (2018). - Community Wine Reviews
