Pure Californian Zinfandel in all its succulent, robust glory! The nose is redolent of raspberry jam and mocha from generous oaking. Full-bodied, juicy and smooth. Terrific for grilled meats and spare ribs.

Zinfandel food pairings: grilled meats, spare ribs, hamburgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Mary Anne van Gaal rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

There is one word to describe this wine, yummy! This bold zinfandel made from grapes grown on old vines, has a rich fruity palate of plums and dark berries with hints of spice and oak. Although it is extra dry, it has a smooth long finish with many layers. I have paired it with grilled steak and also with pasta with a tomato sauce with spicy sausage with great success!
Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Brazin' is the name and deliciously sassy wine is the game. This wine is quickly becoming my go-to summer wine for all things BBQ. Gorgeous plum, mocha and spice flavors will enhance any food experience or enjoy sitting on your patio. There are also vanilla toasted notes and a hint of chocolate. Perfect for those barbecue ribs or your favorite pizza.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A classic California Zin from Lodi. An abundance of plum, berries, chocolate, coffee, black pepper. Full-bodied with some smokey notes on the finish. Tasted March 2016.
This full-bodied Californian Zinfandel won the Judges' Choice Award at the 2013 World Wine Awards of Canada. The grapes are cultivated in the rugged terrain on old vines. Lots of black fruit and mocha here. - Community Wine reviews
