Produced by Maurice Et Nicolas Boiron, a spicy, lip-smacking and mouth filling Châteauneuf-du-Pape with a blend of up to 13 grapes, most of them red-wine grapes but some can be white. The dominant grape is this blend is Grenache, then Cinsault, Mourvèdre and Syrah with other lesser-known red grapes such as Terret Noir, Muscardin and Counoise as well as white grapes like Clairette Blanche, Bourboulenc, Grenache Blanc, Picardan, Roussanne and Picpoul permitted in the blend, though white grapes are increasingly rarely used, given the preference for the heft and depth that red grapes offer.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape food pairings: roast pork, roast leg of lamb, duck, pepper steak.

Bosquet Des Papes Tradition 2017 Châteauneuf-Du-Pape is produced by Maurice Et Nicolas Boiron, Prop.-Récolt. This CNDP is a full-bodied, entry-level wine with bright dark cherry, cracked pepper and baking spice flavours on the palate. Tannins are velvety. Pair with roast beef. - Community Wine Reviews
