Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby red in colour with juicy candied red fruit and warm baking spices on the nose. This Italian red wine has supple silky tannins making each sip smooth going down.Full-bodied and balanced acidity with a lingering Swedish berry candy finish. Perfect for everyday red wine. Points for value!
Enjoy it tonight with a juicy BBQ burger with all the trimmings.
Tasted: August 2016
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

The price says 'el cheapo' but the wine says 'I dare ya'. The nose shows candied berry notes, flinty minerality, and spice. The flavours showcase candied cherry, raspberry, and a touch of minerality. This wine finishes medium-short with a moderate earthy note. This wine is light bodied and easy drinking. Pair with French Onion Soup. Tasted August 2016. @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
This full-bodied Barbera d'Asti is made from Piedmont's famous Barbera grape grown on the well-drained slopes in the northern region of Italy. Pair it with some of the region's Asiago and Pecorino hard cheeses on a mushroom and fresh shallot risotto. - Community Wine Reviews
