Mocha and dark chocolate with fleshy ripe black plums on the nose of this delicious BC red wine blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes. Smooth and full-bodied. Pair with roast beef.

Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Fabulously fresh. Merlot/Cabernet Franc blend from Bonamici Cellars. It packs a wallop at 15.5% ABV but worth it! Aromas of black cherries, sugared plums, dates, roses, dark chocolate and distinct smoke infused spices. Flavours show cranberries, thick black peppercorn and cayenne heat. The alcohol is definitely present and showing here, alongside a touch of sundried tomatoes. Acidity is medium plus with an incredibly full body and finish. This is a nice pairing for a bevy of foods - Grab some friends, a picnic, a barbecue or some deep conversations. This will accompany them all! 90 points - tasted August 2018
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas include currant, plum, and some subtle smoke and spice. Full bodied, smooth and velvety on the palate, fruit forward and luscious. Enjoy with pork tenderloin or prime rib.
