Excellent berry ripeness in the glass along with layers of black plums. Bargain hunters will love this full-bodied red wine from South Africa. It offers notes of smoked meat, jammy black fruit and some robust tannins. Decant for 1-2 hours. This wine will make a big splash at your next party. This wine is a blend of 60% Shiraz and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon organic grapes. Great value.

Syrah Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: pork, bison steak, smoked pork chops, garlic and grilled vegetable casserole.

The 2011 is comprised of 51% Syrah and 49% Cabernet Sauvignon. Source: Vintages Wine Ratings and Reviews, undated. Wallet-friendly nod to the Rhone: scrub & black pepper highlights, flexible backbone from majority shiraz. Worthy successor to accomplished & vivacious 2010. Score - 4 Stars (out of 5) Source: Platter's South African Wine Guide, 2013.
