From Bodegas Frutos Villar in the Toro D.O., Muruve Roble 2018 is a 100% Tinta de Toro red wine. Deep, dark red in the glass, dry, full-bodied and intense on the palate with rich and ripe dark fruits, black liquorice, dark spices and smoky vanilla flavours with a long, smooth dark chocolate finish and vibrant food-friendly acidity. Tannins are rounded and this dark Spanish beauty is very quaffable now. Enjoy with a juicy prime rib roast.

Food pairings: veal cutlets, chicken Kiev, roast turkey, goose.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Made from 100% Tinta de Toro, the Muruve 2018 produced by Bodegas Frutos Villar located in Toro, Spain offers aromas of sour cherry sugarplum, black pepper, dried leaves, cinnamon, wood burner and cedar. Full body with humble acidity and solid tannin, the finish is dry and short will be delicious with tomato sauce dishes. Palate: tart plum, tart cherry, black pepper, dried rose, spice, cocoa and cedar. Enjoy.
