Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous full bodied, Oaked
Merlot with a savoury twist, big black sage, ripe plum. Complex, offering great value and quality. Pairs well with smoked pacific salmon. Tasted 2015 vintage in April 2019. 91 points #greatvalue
Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby red, the nose shows dark plum, stewed cherries, mocha, smoky notes, and its namesake in spades, Black Sage – a hallmark of fine Okanagan Merlot. Silky smooth and very inviting with layers of dark chocolate, plum, and black cherry persisting on the finish. This luscious wine pairs beautifully with braised dishes, smoked brisket, and gourmet burgers. Tasted September 2018. 90 points. Matt Steeves – http://www.quercusvino.ca
From the British Columbia's South Okanagan, Black Sage Vineyard 2015 is a fleshy, juicy full-bodied Merlot with ripe black plum, blueberry, spice and smoky flavours on the palate. Full-bodied and smooth. Very approachable now, can easily hold for five more years. Pair with a roast of pork. - Community Wine Reviews
