Reviews and Ratings

Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of ripe blueberries and raspberries, black and white pepper and wood smoke. A nicely balanced taste that matches the aromas fairly precisely, and some fine tannins. Good acidity and a medium smoky and tart blueberry finish. Probably one of the best value reds around.

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A medium-bodied fragrant red with flavours of sweet strawberries, cherries, vanilla, leather, cedar and savoury touches. Good acidity and smooth overall balance. Terrific value! Pair with lamb kebabs or your favourite charcuterie, olives and cheese.

James Belardo rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The Beronia Tempranillo Rioja is a wine with a nice deep red color and full bodied taste. I feel it's a great representation of Spanish wines especially since it's reasonably priced! The Beronia Tempranillo Rioja works well with grilled meats, poultry and hearty seafood dishes like paella.Highly recommended for Latin American and Mediterranean cuisine.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
