The 2015 vintage of the Vouvray Sec le Petit Clos is robust and complex, with aromas of golden apple and Asian pear. Lots of vibrant acidity for shellfish and a refreshing, crisp finish. A deep core of minerality runs through the heart of this wine. This Loire Valley white wine is made from the classic Chenin Blanc grape by Bernard Fouquet.

Vouvray food pairings: grilled prawns, calamari, pan-fried panfish, buttered lobster.

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This was a delightfully crisp and dry Vouvray! Pale lemon colour with aroma intensities of sweet apple, white peach, clementine citrus, quince, floral blossom, wet stones and flint. Pronounced flavours of peach, apricot, lemon, grapefruit, granny smith apples with a hint of honey. Some different flavours reflected on the palate than the aromas lend, but so refreshing! High acidity, off dry with a long bright finish. Drink now but can age 5-15 yrs. A perfect accompaniment to fresh oysters, seafood, seared scallops with a butter cream sauce.
Bernard Fouquet Le Petit Clos (2015) is a from Vouvray's Domaine Des Aubuisières in the Loire wine region. This elegant Chenin is structured with ripe tropical fruit and a lemon citrus finish. - Community Wine Reviews
