From Beringer, a classic Cabernet Sauvignon blended with splashes of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Zinfandel. Ripe and juicy on the palate with blackberry compote, dark chocolate and savoury spice flavours lush and smooth n the palate. Nicely done! Pair with grilled steak.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: veal chops, rosemary lamb, barbecued ribs in sauce, chicken cacciatore.

Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is a dense, smooth drinking Cabernet Sauvignon with a bit of Merlot, Petit Verdot and Zinfandel adding interest. Rich and ample dark, brambly fruit showing on the nose and palate with nice weight and balance. Silky with a long, rich finish. This deserves Chateaubriand. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A Napa Valley full-bodied blend that is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, it presents medium ruby in the glass with spicy and peppery aromas and a hint of tobacco. There is blackberry fruit on the palate that continues through to the finish. Medium to high tannins so decanting or further ageing is recommended. Pair with beef. Tasted February 2020.
