A full-bodied, vibrant Argentine red wine made a robust blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and some Malbec grapes. Fine polished tannins and deep minerality. A terrific representation of Uco Valley terroir. The viticulturist is Edy del Popolo, also winemaker.

Food pairings: roast leg of lamb, barbecued ribs in sauce, hamburger, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Rich, plummy and chocolatey! The mouthfeel shows 'dusty' tannins, a fine balance of acidity, alcohol and ripe concentrated fruit flavours. I'm really loving it! Not a bad deal for great quality, body, balance, and length. Tasted Jan 2017 - @sommsosa | bespoketastings.ca
From Argentina's Uco Valley, Benmarco Expresivo (2014) is just that -- expressive, with dark, rich berries and violet on the nose, rich, structured and elegant on the palate. The wine is produced from 80% Malbec and 20% Cabernet Franc. - Community Wine Reviews
