Reviews and Ratings

Lesley Saito - Sommelier, ISG rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Beaumont Family Estate Winery has been in operation since 1995 on 36 acres of Vineyards near Quails’ Gate on Mt. Boucherie Road in Kelowna, BC. Alana, winemaker for 9 vintages now, uses oak to enhance the wine's complexity and depth working on the premise that "Music Inspires Wine" as is proudly stated on the label baring a musical staff.
The Beaumont Gamay Noir 2010 is made with premium quality 100% SOOPA (Similkameen Okanagan Organic Producers Association) certified organic grapes is a medley of aromas and flavours that will make your palate sing. Staying true to the vineyard characteristics this Gamay Noir has elegant aromas of juicy red and black fruit with a hint of spice. A subtle backbone of black current and black pepper notes rounded out by the lush fruit flavours of rich blackberry and plum this Gamay offers a long lingering finish. Being a more medium bodied Gamay with bright acidity, I suggest a gentle decanting to separate out the sediment and a pairing of spicy steak, grilled lamb or even dark chocolate. "Make music and wine your Passion!" as recommended on the label and pick up a bottle at your nearest BC private liquor store for around $24 while limited quantities last or order online at www.legacyliquorstore.com and have it delivered!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
