Classic cassis, black currant and wild blackberry on the nose of this seductive Australian Cabernet Sauvignon. Savoury dried herb and mouth-watering juiciness on the palate with tangy tomato and meat sauces. Great value!

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: venison, bison steak, filet mignon, hearty meat dishes, beef tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Perry rated this wine as 93/100
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

From Barossa Estates - though this region is typically known for Shiraz, this Cabernet Sauvignon makes a a solid impression, and under $20! An impressive bouquet - bramble, cassis, blackcurrants, cooked strawberries and smoky wine dipped cigars dancing on the nose. Flavours follow suit, stimulating the senses with blueberry jam, smoke, dark chocolate, eucalyptus and touches of steely graphite minerals. Finishing with fruity and inviting warm cherry chutney. Refreshing, balanced acidity with a full meaty body and plush tannins. Pair with robust lamb, herbed beef or game.
From the Barossa Valley in South Australia, Barossa Valley Estate (2015) is a classic Australian Cabernet Sauvignon with blackberry, dried herbs, red pepper and olives, mint and savoury spice. Great acidity on this wine that would pair well with game meats. - Community Wine Reviews
