Reviews and Ratings

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Medium garnet colour with profound aromas of black cherry, cooked strawberry, prune, roasted red pepper, soft oak, vanilla bean and hints of smoke. Flavours are bright and full with red cherry, ripe raspberry, green pepper, dark cocoa and sapling bark. High acidity and tannins with a full bodied finish. Pair with grilled strip steak, venison and mushrooms.

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The nose on this Italian red is inviting with notes of dark, ripe fruit and smoky spice. The wine is comprised of mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with some Cabernet Franc. The palate is notably dry with flavours of mocha, blackcurrant, blueberry, spice and tobacco. The tannins are supple and well rounded. Pair with aged cheeses or red meats. Tasted January 2018.
Banfi Aska (2014) is a full-bodied, red wine blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The wine grapes for this ripe black fruit, dried-leaf tobacco and intense red come from Bolgheri in the Tuscany wine region. Drink now and for the next three years. - Community Wine Reviews
