Reviews and Ratings

Dianne Fisher - Sommelier, ISG rated this wine as 95/100 with the following review:

A spectacular wine made by a spectacular winemaker @Bachelder_wines. This wine is complex, unveiling nuances of fruit tones of apple and pear accented with an accent of spice tones. What sets this wine apart is its backbone of Burgundy chalky minerality, which leaves you energized and curious for every sip. Pair with blanquette de veau, oysters or poultry in browned butter.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

You've heard of An American in Paris (1951)starring Gene Kelly. How about A Canadian in Burgundy starring Thomas Bachelder? This Canadian wimemaker has crafted a lovely Chardonnay with luscious tree fruit and tropical nuances. Toast, honeycomb and sweet baking spices round out the nose and palate with plenty of cleansing acidity that preps for another mouthful. Medium-bodied liquid gold. Loved it! Pair with lobster bisque, grilled scallops in butter, or enjoy on it's own.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
