Reviews and Ratings

Tania Thomas - CSW, WSET ADV rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Fantastic value Pinot Noir from 100% estate grown fruit in New Zealand’s Waihopai and Wairau Valleys. Dry, fresh and lively palate with aromas and flavours of ripe cherries and raspberries. Elegant and smooth with velvety tannins and great fruit concentration. Well balanced acidity, leading to a lingering, dark-cocoa-tinged finish. A given as a pairing with slow cooking lamb stew or wild mushroom risotto. Tasted February 2017. Tania Thomas – www.taniathomas.com.
Another lovely Pinot Noir from New Zealand's South Island, Marlborough, Babich Black Label (2014) is pronounced with a raspberry nose and fresh, ripe red cherries. This wine won a Air New Zealand Wine Award, Pure Bronze in 2015 and Silver in the International Wine & Spirit Competition 2015. - Community Wine Reviews
