Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

OPA! Raise a glass of this inky deep ruby wine with full-on aromas and flavours. Succulent dark fruit(cassis, cherry, strawberry, blueberry), raisin, violets, sweet spices, cloves, leather and the palate adds wood smoke, prune, caramel, dark chocolate. Lots of lovely layers to this wine. This wine is still developing. Medium+ length on the tannic finish.
Drink now but suitable for further ageing.
Decant.
Serve with roasted lamb shank, skewed meats
Tasted Apr 1/14
Martha Kelly AIWS - CS rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby in colour, this blend has complex flavours and aromas of black and red fruit, vanilla, cloves, black pepper, cedar, and leather.
The grippy tannins and mouthwatering acidity can be felt on the warming finish.
Pair with grilled red meats.
Drink now, or cellar until 2018 to allow the tannins to soften.
Date tasted: April 2014.
Greece's Alpha Estate has been lauded both for their wines and for this particular red. Try it and see what Greece can do. - Community Wine Reviews
