Reviews and Ratings

Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pretty darn good Lowland Scotch emulating their Irish neighbour's practice of triple distillation. This whisky boasts a beautiful bright deep copper, almost brown appearance. Well-rounded aromas include: dried fruits (particularly figs, dates & apricots), orange zest, baking spices (clove, nutmeg & anise), vanilla & caramel sweetness, toasted nuts (almonds) and a hint of cracked white peppercorn. Flavours include: sweet smoke (maple/sugar shack), roasted nuts, cereal and a blend of dried fruits (reminiscent of Christmas fruit cake).
- Medium bodied
- Alcohol is integrated to smooth
- Medium to long finish (maple, nuts, baking spices)
- Rich & Round Flavour Camp
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A brilliant medium copper triple distilled lowland Scotch, offering aromatics of fruit cake, banana bread, black olive brine, baking spice and committed to the fruity and spicy flavour camp. Integrated alcohol and wonderful on the palate. @jonsteevss rated 89/100 tasted Sept 2016.
An ever-popular Lowland single malt, matured initially in bourbon casks before being finished in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez casks for an extra layer of rich, sweet fruitiness. Source: Nick Lees, Edmonton Journal

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
