A massive wine at an equally massive price. A full on palate whacker with loads of alcohol, body, weight, tannin and black fruit and oak. This is a huge Argentine red wine blend of 50% malbec, 22% cabernet sauvignon, 21% merlot and 7% petit verdot grapes. Vines are planted at between 1,100 and 1,300 metres above sea level. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged in 100% new French oak barrels for 14 months. Pair with brontosaurus burgers.

Food pairings: bison burgers, roast game birds, hearty meat stews.

From Tupungato in the Uco Valley of Argentina, Atamisque's Assemblage (2012) is a red wine blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Bodega Atamisque is located in the Uco Valley near the town of Tupungato on the Route 86, the Ruta del Vino. "Atamisque" is a reference to an indigenous mountain shrub which grows on the property. The wine is floral and dark, ripe and rich fruit on the palate. Drink now or hold for another three. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
