Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2011 Angels Gate Mountainview Chardonnay, aged in French Oak for 8 months, has intense aromas of honey, linden, light oak and vanilla. It is a medium bodied, extra-dry, integrated wine, with forward acidity, soft tannins and a medium to long finish. It is quite food friendly, yet can be enjoyed on its own; drink now-2018. My impression: quite NICE, 89-90 pts – recommended wine. Tasted at International Cool Climate Chardonnay – i4C event July/13.

Juicy peach, guava, apple-cinnamon, buttered toast and wet stones. Round and generous with sleek acidity counterpointing all that rich fruit and toasty oak. Fine, balanced finish. Source: Vintages Wine Panel
