Reviews and Ratings

Wineboy rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Power with all the plummy fruit of Zin along with an overripe element that premium Zin often possess. Soft acids, higher levels of alcohol. Smooth and softly sweet. Drink now as Zin sometimes doesn't age as well as other grape varieties.
Neil Phillips rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Elegant nose of red fruits, leather, balsamic, soy, mushrooms.

Slightly grippy tannins; heavy on savoury notes with red fruit, dried raspberries, cranberries.

Tasted October 2018.
Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lots of plum, coffee, toffee, chocolate. What else to say except pair it with a peppercorn steak and enjoy. 90 Points.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby with light staining tears. Cassis, blackberries, blueberries and fresh thyme. Flavours echo these aromas with juicy fruit. Acidity is medium plus with a toasty dark chocolate and graphite and fresh figs. Tannins are present but well integrated. Pair with pork chops and lamb roast. 89 points - tasted November 2018
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A lighter than typical Zin with moderate aromas and juicy plum, blackberry, dark chocolate and minty flavours. Tannins are moderate and well-integrated. Enjoy this lovely concentrated Zin with roasted bone-in rib-eye steak. Tasted Nov. '18 by @sommsosa.
Simon Chen rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A good zin from califronia that is not super riped. However, it still has a bit of liquorice, candy flavors on the initial plate; however, the mid-palate is tight with smooth acid and tannin. If you can get past that initial sweetness then this is a really good zin to try!
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Ripe plum and smoky aromas with spice, earth and plum notes. Full bodied with a soft tannin finish. Pair with BBQ ribs. Tasted November 2018.
Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Ripe and flavourful. Aromas include ripe plum, coffee, black pepper, and some warm toffee or caramel. Full bodied with bright acidity on the palate with more ripe fruit and a peppery finish. Enjoy with braised beef short ribs.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

From Amador County in California, Andis Zinfandel 2014 reveals ripe dark plum, strawberry, black tea, tobacco, brown sugar, crushed coconut and oak. Balanced, with a full body and a bold finish, this fruity Zinfandel shows ripe plum, ripe strawberry, bay leaf, leather, dark chocolate, vanilla and oak. A crowd pleaser, the Andis can be enjoyed on its own with friends after dinner. Enjoy.
From Amador County, California, Andis 2014 is a full-bodied Zinfandel. The estate vineyard was planted in 1978 without the use of rootstock. The old vines produce limited and intensely-flavoured grapes. Look for juicy, ripe red berry and white pepper flavours on this warming red (15.5% abv). Pair with a rich, meaty and cheese lasagne. - Community Wine Reviews
