From Anakena, a medium-plus-bodied red blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 25% Carmenère sourced from the Cachapoal Valley Wine Region. Ona Andes Blend is so named for the Onawo or Ona people from the Patagonian region and the Tierra del Fuego islands shared by Argentina and Chile. Look for ripe dark fruit, plum, savoury herbs and spice on this juicy and zesty red. Pair with roast lamb.

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A Rich and bold wine, the Anakena Ona, Andes Blend 2016, from the Cachapoal Valley in Chile, shows lovely aromas of dried cranberry, blackberry jam, black pepper, tar, espresso, cigar box and oak. A blend of 50% Syrah, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Carmenere provide gorgeous tannins, pleasant acidity and a warm finish to this elegant Chilean wine. The flavors reveal great quality fruit like plum and blueberry, with lavender, leather, cigar, chocolate milk and oak. Enjoy!
Anakena Ona Andes Blend 2016 is a ripe and juicy, medium-plus-bodied red blend of 50% Syrah, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Carmenère sourced from the Cachapoal Valley Wine Region. The wine is so named after The Selk'nam people, also known as the Onawo or Ona people, from the Patagonian region of southern Argentina and the Tierra del Fuego islands shared by Argentina and Chile. Lots of ripe dark fruit, plum, savoury herbs, mint and spice on this juicy and zesty red. Pair with grilled lamb chops or braised chicken in a red wine and mushroom sauce. - Community Wine Reviews
