Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A great food wine! Produced from cherry-based varietals, Montepulciano, Barbera and Cab Sauv. Spent 18 mos. in seasoned mainly French oak. Shows integrated cherry and savoury elements with a lip-smacking acidity that makes it versatile with game, turkey, mushroom risotto or pasta in meat sauce.
Tasted at Australia Up Close, June 2017
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Here's a nifty Aussie parading in Gucci loafers - all leather and sweet cherry swagger. Earthy, savoury, juicy cherry and leather notes all deliciously brawny and charismatic at the same time. Enjoy with a beefy burger topped with sundried tomato relish, pesto and mozzarella.
Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Ruby red verging on garnet, with gorgeous aromas of black cherry, vanilla, violet, baking spice and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied with bright, mouthwatering acidity. This is a very drinkable wine and despute being made with Italian grapes (montepulciano and barbera), is clearly all Australia.
Quite the name for any wine, Alpha Box & Dice Kit & Kaboodle (2014) is just that - a red wine blend of Montepluciano, Cabernet Sauvignon and Barbera red wine grapes. The wine doesn't take itself too seriously and you can certainly see that from its hilarious label. Try it with venison stuffed cannelloni and rich tomato sauce. - Community Wine Reviews
