Alice Vieira de Sousa Reserve 2019 is a full-bodied and toasty red wine blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz from a small family estate in the Douro wine region. Dry, full-bodied and vibrant with ripe plum, blueberry, mocha, toasty oak spice and vanilla notes balanced with lively acidity with a lingering velvety finish. Grapes for this vintage were hand-harvested and sorted. Pour with BBQ pork side ribs.

Red food pairings: meat pasta with rich tomato sauce, meat lover's pizza, feta cheese stuffed lamburgers.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Surprisingly delicious wine from Portugal at an amazing price, the Alice Vieira de Sousa 2019 offers aromas of sour plum, blueberry, mint, graphite, bread, toasted marshmallow and vanilla. A blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca, delivers a full body and structure. Light tannins and acidity provide a fresh finish, great for food pairing. Palate: tart plum, blueberry, lilac, graphite, dark chocolate and cedar. Enjoy!
