Beautifully concentrated with a core of hedonistic black cherry liqueur aromas and flavours running through it. Full-bodied, dry, complex and ultimately satisfying. Gutsy and muscular with a fair kick of dark fruit in its heart. Decant for 1 hour. Produced by Alain Jaume & Fils. Pair this beauty with lamb or steak.

Food pairings: roast leg of lamb, slow-braised beef ribs, meaty dishes.

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Gorgeous aromas and flavours of black and red briars, purple flowers, graphite, loam, chalk, kirsch liqueur, and garrigue. This wine is dynamic and everything I expected from this high quality producer. 92 points. (www.ottawawinejournal.com)
Jennifer Casu rated this wine as 91/100
Produced by Alain Jaume & Fils Clos De Sixte Lirac (2013) is a red wine blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. This family has been making wine since 1826 in the Rhone Valley. The wines are lightly filtered so as not to loose the expression of the wine grapes and terroir. The wine is brambleberry, plum on the palate with a lingering licorice finish. Nice with roasted game meats. - Community Wine Reviews
