Attractive dark cherry and dark spice notes on the nose. The palate is liquid satin with a medium-bodied weight. A long, dry finish brings you back to your glass for more. Pair with roast chicken or turkey as well as with grilled tuna and salmon.

Pinot Noir food pairings: blackened lamb in a red wine sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Quintessential California. Rich ruby, medium+ aromas. Dark cherry, raspberry, strawberry, cedar, forest floor, vanilla, pepper. Velvet tannins. Aromas are duplicated on the palate with the addition of smoke and warm spices. Finish is long and spicy warm. Medium alcohol.
This is a beautiful wine. Drinking nicely now with ageing potential.
Food friendly. Turkey with cranberry, planked salmon, or pleasant on it's own.

Intriguing aromas of wild blueberry, sour cherry, plum, baking spices and sandalwood. Ripe, fleshy and fruity Pinot with good concentration and a nice fresh lift on the finish. Youthful tannins suggest it will evolve nicely in cellar for 1-2 years, and drink for 5 beyond that; or enjoy it tonight. Source: Vintages Wine Panel, Nov. 2012
