Wow. Just buy this Chardonnay from 2027 Cellars. At $23 Wismer Vineyard Fox Croft Block is incredible value showing beautifully ripe red apple, pear, sweet spice, lemon pie flavours on the palate. Weighty, rich on the palate but with balanced acidity and a flinty, creamy finish. Just plain good.

Chardonnay food pairings: roast chicken, steamed fresh crab, lobster on buttered toast.

From the Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Escarpment wine region, 2027 Cellars Wismer Vineyard Fox Croft Block 2017 is a medium-plus-bodied, rich, creamy Chardonnay with ripe apple, pear, sweet spice, lemon cream, cake spice and flinty, smoky flavours from some oak ageing.
