Reviews and Ratings

Mymi Thesingingsommelier - Sommelier, FWS rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

Tenuta Rocca is an estate with 15 hectares of vineyards in the heart of the Langhe district in Piedmont in Italy’s North West.
The estate had been managed by brothers Bruno and Gianni, who worked tirelessly at modernizing the property before passing the torch to Gianni’s son Andrea in 2011.
Tenuta Rocca’s commitment, passion and determination to produce wines that reflect the typicity and authenticity of the region is an adventure to be savored.
Barbera is a red Italian grape variety relatively unknown to most “non-Italian” wine drinkers. But if you are looking to surprise and impress at your next party with a smooth, food-friendly, easy drinking red, you must try this one!
In the glass, it is a very light ruby red color, similar to a Pinot Noir.
Very fragrant on the nose with fresh strawberries, white flowers and cherry yogurt chewy candy.
Light in body, mild tannin, low acid with lots of ripe red fruit. Enjoy slightly chilled!
High guzzle factor!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
