The Kat-Less

Serves 4 to 6 as snack
Level of Difficulty: Easy

Hamburger Mauritian style, the KAT-LESS is enjoyed on its own or in a bun for a more filling meal.

Ingredients

500g of chopped steak
2 large onions chopped fine
5 eggs
½ cup of chopped fresh coriander
½ cup of chopped fresh mint leaves
1 tablespoon of crushed garlic
2 teaspoon cumin powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Breadcrumbs
Oil for frying

Instructions

In a large bowl, mix steak, onions, coriander, mint, and cumin. Add 2 eggs, salt and pepper to taste, mix well.
Arrange meat into 12 or 15 portions/balls.
With your hand, flatten each ball to make hamburgers.
In a 2nd bowl beat remaining eggs as for an omelet.
In a 3rd bowl arrange breadcrumbs
Heat oil in frying pan.
Dip Kat Less in eggs, then in breadcrumbs, then again in eggs and fry them in the hot pan, until done.
Drain and serve with ketchup or spicy BBQ sauce.
