Sweet Peach

At my home in Sonoma I have Spring and Summer peach trees. I am doubly blessed to have both. I get so excited to the the budding trees that produce the most juicy fruits I have ever had. I begin to stalk the trees waiting for the right moment to pluck a little piece of heaven. I wait for the afternoon sun to do it's magic and heat up the peaches till they are very warm inside. So simple, but such a joy.

serves one, when no one is looking

level of difficulty: easy with a ladder

Ingredients

1 warm spring peach tree or 1 peach from grocery
2 tsp light brown sugar
1 pinch of cinnamon
1/4 cup cold fresh cream
1 small glass of Chateau d' Yquem

Instructions

Pick one sun drenched peach from your tree or your neighbors when they are not looking. Wash and dry the peach. Cut into wedges and put in a small serving bowl just for you. Sprinkle peach with brown sugar and cinnamon. Pour cream over peach and Chateau in your glass. Head outside and grab your place in the sun that just handed this little treasure to you and enjoy for 30 minutes. Get your vitamin D and a much deserved time out. You can thank me later!

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
